i have finished shading and am about to start on the bit of cloth on the right of my image i also need to blend a little more.

Final
My piece consist of for bottles, one in the foreground and with parts of the cloth and the other three bottles in the background. i drew the bottles where they are because that's the way i saw them when looking at the still life in the middle of the room and because if i put all the bottles on the same plain the image wouldn't look as though there is depth. I like how they turned out i exceptionally like the farthest bottle i think that one turned out the best. I would like to think i used a range of values and it shows by the change from one end of the bottles to the center and how the shading goes from darker to lighter. My prior knowledge of how to shade and keep the lines going in the same direction help me with this piece. Texture is essential to my piece because if i didn't do it correctly the bottles wouldn't look smooth. If i could recreate this piece the only thing i would change would be how the cloth turned out, i would keep everything else the same.

in progress, just finished the outline in pencil
in progress, windows are finished moving on to the walls
in progress, walls are stippled moving on to the floor
in progress, floor is patterned and stippled and the plants are given texture
Final
I choose to do mostly stippling with some hatching and invented, i choose these techniques because they seemed to be the easiest to get the texture i wanted/needed. I used one point perspective in my piece, perceptive is important to show the distance
between the foreground and the background. Texture is important in my piece because if i didn't have different textures you wouldn't be able to really tell the difference between the floor and the walls. Value is important in this project because every thing would look an the same ground if things didn't get darker the farther you go back. If i could recreate the piece i would make the walls end sooner so it looks like it opens up in to a bigger room and isn't just an alcove where the throne sits. I created what i believe the throne room, from a book series i have recently read, would look like i'm representing it in my own way because within the book the throne room is never describe but is abandoned so i drew a throne room destroyed over time. Its important to understand the techniques that we learned because if used wrong the final picture wouldn't turn out correctly. As a growing artist i think what i have learned will guide me and make me better on future projects by making me more confident when using new techniques or tools when drawing or creating a piece of art.

The craftsmanship of my of my work is precise and well executed with shading, highlights, and texture. There are definitely spots here i could have shaded darker or gone lighter but either way i believe the piece turned out great. I think i represented the art style of Georgia O'Keeffe by zooming in on a flower, like she is most famous for, and making it abstract so you can't tell its a flower. I used mostly used pink red and orange because that was the colour of the flower except for orange i added it so that the transition between the red and pink wasn't so sudden and i thought it looked nice. I created contrast by having the closer to the center art of the pedal be darker compared to the very edge so you see the difference and the depth from pedal to pedal. The purple i used does a great job of showing how the flower has a texture and the water drop shows lovely highlights. The two most difficult things were the water droplet and the shading/ layering so that you don't see the paper. Something i would do to improve my drawing if i was to go back and do it again would be darken the parts of the pedals that are under other parts and smooth out the transition between shades and maybe add some other colours to the water droplet.

My referenced artist for this painting was Edward Hopper. He painted many beaches so i used that in mine by painting a beach in the soft colors that Edward Hopper used to create his style. The craftsmanship of my painting could be neater in some places but is over all nice and neat.the most difficult part of this project was mixing colors to make the color of sand it took many attempts and many repaints. The colors i picked were all soft this reflects my artist because Edward Hopper's style was to use soft colors in his paintings. If my artist saw my painting i doubt he would think it was inspired by him. If i were to do this project over again i would work more to make the sand less flat, make it have shadows and highlights and a texture.

The craftsmanship of my sculpture is is neat and well executed in everything but the plate the edges are not consistent in evenness. the most difficult part of this project was when i was first starting out and i had to figure out how to make the shape of a strawberry. In my opinion the colors i chose for the plat work together harmoniously. Yes my sculpture is interesting from all views, if you look at it from another angle you see more detail or more shine from the polyacrylic, which i think looks great and gives something more to the clay. The main difference between constructing a sculpture and doing something 2D is that with a sculpture you can pick it up and look at it from differnt?all angles, which i thinks makes it easier to construct compared to a painting or a drawing. i created texture in my work by poking holes in the strawberries that looks like were the seeds go , by going over the white multiple times to build it up and away from the chocolate, and one the strawberry with a bite taken out of it i pulled the chocolate away from the strawberry so it would look real. everyone else says they look real and for the most part i agree but i don't think i got the right colors for the inside of the strawberry, it looks a little too pink for me. the fact that i just carved the chocolate out of the strawberry instead of adding a layer of clay on top makes them look real. if i were to do this project again i would make some of the strawberries bigger and i would probably make less along with doing the plate differently.
