Question 1 A l knew a little about art criticism when i started this class because i took art in middle school last year. in that class when we finished a project we had to self grade are work and grade another persons art as well. im okay with evaluating my work and other, though if given an option i would rather not because i dont like talking about my work anf i didnt like telling other people how there work is because they worked hard on it and they should be the ones to judge there own art work. Question 1 B my understanding of art criticism has changed because now i know that if i tell someone something about there work the next time they draw something they have the something to change or keep the same. the way i use art criticism has changed im a lottle more comfotable telling others about there work and talking about my own. Question 2 B i dont belive there is anything i would change to make it a better learning experience. i mean there were a few projects i could have done differntly and maybe learned something. but that was on me and had nothing to do with the experience. Question 2 A i think the most important/ useful thing i learned is how to take a word/theme and creating art work useing that word as a guide. for example in the picture i used the word broken and i drew a broken robot. another important thing i learned was how to make a hand look realistic. i learned from the wsrm ups we did where we had to draw sign langue. over winter break i painted a flower on my canves. so for drawing a pictuer similer to one i have done before i drew a flower driping like it was paint. there are a few differnces for example the new picture dosent have a vase and the blue is a differnt shade also the flower looks less dead.

my art work is a drawing of a song called drown by bring me the horizon. its kinda a derpressing song meaning its slow and the words talk about wondering who would help you if you down. i always thought music was a way for people to express themself and for them to tell stories they cant speak. so over the music notes i drew little people all listening to music and doing differnt/entertaining things like playing card, sleeping, climbing, and just relaxing. i want people to notice the music notes and the people first and the words of the song next because people shouldnt judge people because of there taste in music. i think my art was very succsessful because i eent around the room and asked everyone what they saw first and most everyone said the people and that was the goal of my work.
i picked this image because i wanted this person to be anyomus but also be Influenced by good and bad ideas that they could tweet about. i want the veiwer to see that the "bad" tweet is higher of the shoulder and closer to the ear. because even though people sometimes do the right thing and dont tweet mean/Inappropriate things. most of the time people wont do the right thing and tweet a mean thing the message of my image is that there are two sides of the internet. the good and the bad. and i drew the bad tweeter bird higher cause than its closer to the ear. and it s the side more than half the people choose
I would be interested in using Clay again. in middle school I worked with clay a lot and when Mr Creech said we were working with Clay I was so excited. granted I'm not that good at creating textur on clay I do enjoy working with it. the art work I thought worked out the best would be painting. the colours in the sky blended just the way I wanted them to. in my opinion it the sky looks the the northern lights. another reason I thought my painting was successful would be the reflection in the lake. I think I blended the perfect blue to mirror the moon. a new skill i learned this unit would be to shade correctly. in other drawings of mine i never really shaded and so having to shade a whole picture i would definitely have to learn how. how do I feel about about my final art work? I feel that I should have something different in the back round, not just color it black. what I like about my work is the different colors. I used different shades of Orange Brown and green and it looks great. something I learned about lines was that the closer the lines the darker your drawing looks and the father apart your lines are the lighter your picture is. having learned that I was able to draw one of my favorite bands album cover. if I didn't think of lines in a different way that the drawing wouldn't have looked correct.
I called this piece of art work Stairway to heaven because the picture I drew reminded me of season 9 of supernatural when all the angles returned to heaven, even though it probably wouldn't have looked like this, I just thought it was cool. How has my thinking about original art chsnged? I would say it changed because I always thought all art was original,i guess I was wrong. what new skills did I learn or what did I improve on during this unit? I guess I would say I got better at coloring/ making things stand out. for example the flag I made it darker so your eyes go there first then your eyes follow the birds. What challenges or successes did you have during this unit? Would you change anything you did if you go back and redo it?
I think this drawing was a success. it was the character remix so I mixed deadpool and nick fury, because in a cartoon I was as once deadpool dressed as nick fury, and I found that funny, and still do, so that's what I drew. This week in art i learned, how to draw one point perspective, how to shade, and perspective photography. The activity i enjoyed the most would have been perspective photography because when you're taking the picture you get to see the world from a different view sort of. I used the picture above because it's one of the best shaded pictures i have ever drawn and because it was the only picture from this week on my phone.
